### Rainer's Scribe

April 11, 2006

first of all, we finished measuring the rocket from yesterday's class. it is due i think friday so hand it in as soon as possible.

like every math class we had this couple of weeks, we did mental math. today's minute was minute #1. so try to do it if you were late or absent this morning.

so this is what we did today.....

this class should have been a review for some of us. we reviewed another shape that is not a polygon and has no sides a circle.

if your not here this class, here's the notes.....

Elements of a Circle

Elements of a circle includes:

- centre
- diameter - starts at one edge and ends at the opposite end, and has to pass through the centre
- radius - starts at centre and goes to the edge ( to measure - divide the diameter by 2 )
- circumference - perimeter of the circle or the measurement all the way around the outside of the circle

in parts of the class we measured different sizes circles. you have to find different measurements to put a table......

here's what it needs to have......

- circle # ( label )
- radius ( in centimeter )
- diameter (in centimeter )
- circumference ( in centimeter )
- circumference/diameter

for now you dont have to have the circumference/diameter part filled up.... but.... you should have measured 8 different circles by now..... but you still have time tomorrow......

i think i said everything...... tell me if i forget something............
