### Camille's Scribe

April 13, 2006First ting we did in math today is mental math in minute number 13. After that, we learned how to measure the diameter of a circle, radius, circumference and circumference/diameter like the one we did yesterday, but the only thing we did not learn is how to get the circumference/diameter.

How to get the circumference/diameter:

You just need to divide the circumference to the diameter

(this symbol / means divide)

Example:

26 = circumference

8 = diameter

26/8= 3.25 or pi

circumference/diameter gives you pi

Pi is used represent to the ratio of a circumference of a circle to its diameter.

These are some of the formula for those who don't know this yet

diameter/pi= circumference

Example:

11= diameter

3= pi

11/3= 3.6

circumference/pi= diameter

Example:

74= circumference

8.2= pi

74/8.2=9.02439

This is what we learned today. Oh yeah I remember, after we learned how to solve the pi, we saw another episode with Tim amd Mobie and this episode is about how to measure a circle.

And the scribe on Monday is Courtney...... :)
